Ford Transit Connect-not pretty, but practical

The Ford Transit Connect was named the North American Truck of the Year at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Ford Transit Connect is a commercial cargo van that claims to offer twice as much fuel economy as standard vans. It gets 22 miles-per-gallon in the city and 25 miles-per-gallon on highways. Its fuel efficiency is equivalent to that of a large car. The car weighs 1,600, has a 4-speed automatic transmission and comes with a dashboard computer with internet.

Although the bare bones version looks like a paddy-wagon, the Ford website has some pretty cute ideas for customizing the Ford Transit Connect. The cargo area can also be customized with shelves, drawers, wire screens, etc.
