The 2009 Air Guitar World Championships were held between August 19 and August 21 in Finland. The 21 best air guitarists from 19 countries competed in the competition. Sylvain Quimene of France won the 2009 air guitar contest with 35.1 points. Quimene's stage name is Gunther Love.
