Author E. Lynn Harris passed away at the age of 54 on July 24, 2009. A representative said his health had taken a turn for the worse in the early hours of the day and later, his death was reported. Harris was a bestselling author whose novels dealt with the topic of black men struggling to come to terms with homosexuality.
